Spring break is a time to escape the halls of learning and head for sun and fun. That is precisely what many college students do every spring and a large number of them head to Florida for their share of the sun. Fort Lauderdale vacation rentals are the perfect way to accommodate a group of friends without paying horribly high prices. While Ft. Lauderdale motels may be the standard, there's nothing like the freedom of a house to stay in for a week.
Many Fort Lauderdale vacation rentals are rented out specifically for spring break, so it's important to start looking early. You have a lot of options, so talk it over with the group and decide what kind of a place you want. You can choose a house that is fairly compact, or look for a large one that has plenty of space for everyone. Some homes come with pools, so you can enjoy a relaxing evening swimming.

Location is everything if you want to be in on all the parties, so decide whether you want to be near the clubs or closer to the beach. There are plenty of vacation homes that are close to the beach so you can easily walk there. Of course, the more central the location, the more it will cost to stay there. This is something to keep in mind.
Why would you choose a house over Ft. Lauderdale motels? The main reason is cost. If you want to have 12 people in a hotel, you'll be paying for at least three rooms. Even if you find relatively cheap rooms for $100 each, that's $300 a night, for a fairly cramped bedroom with four people crammed into it. A vacation rental may cost about the same, but can hold more people and has plenty of space for everyone.
Not only is there more space and you'll save money, a vacation home is also a home away from home. It lets you cook your own food instead of eating out all the time and you can bring people back to hang out in the pool without any problems. Just keep in mind that you'll have to pay for any damages, so it's not worth having a huge party at the house. However, to have some visitors, it's easy and fun.
Most college students don't have a lot of money to travel with, so finding a vacation home in Fort Lauderdale that will let them stay for a lower price makes it more likely that everyone will be able to take the vacation trip. If you're short on money, there's nothing better than cutting food and lodging costs. That's very possible to do when you rent a house instead of just a hotel room.
If you can splurge a little, then getting a home that is on the beach can be a terrific experience. There aren't a lot of these, however. Most are just near the beach, meaning within walking distance. This is fine for most people, but it can be a real treat to actually be on the beach.
Finding vacation rentals is easy online. You can choose how many rooms you need, or select the appropriate house by the number of people it will sleep. Some places include pullout couches in their people count and in some cases, you can just have some people sleep on the floor on air mattresses that you bring down with you.
If you're planning to hit Fort Lauderdale, vacation rentals are the way to go for a group. Ft. Lauderdale motels are nice, but they aren't the best option when you're traveling with a large number of people.
