This information consolidates and establishes a sense of direction and better places people to attain their goals.
Available Art and Design Programs
There are various art and design programs people can join including, but not limited to, the option of enrolling for an art and design certificate program. This art and design program specifically focuses on the areas that mostly interest the students. In other words, people who enroll for this program are introduced to the fundamentals of art and design education. The assumption in this case is that students in this program have limited, if any knowledge and experience in the arts. Studies in this program are therefore more concentrated than in degree programs, meaning that there is little if any general studies in the program. The art and design certificate program can therefore be as short as a semester but not longer than two years.
People can also enroll for an art and design associate program. In this art and design program people take general introductory courses into the arts. The art and design program is geared at giving people a foundation in the arts. It also prepares people for the possibility of further education in the arts by joining 4 year colleges with art and design degree programs. The associate's degree programs are normally offered by technical institutions and community colleges, usually taking 2 years to complete.
Moreover, people can enroll for the bachelors or undergraduate art and design program. This program presents people with two types of degree options: the professional art and design program and the liberal art and design program. The latter option is widely recognized in the US. It grants BA degree certificates while the former grants BFA degree certificates. The most distinguishing characteristic of the two programs is their difference in goals. The professional arts degree program mainly focuses on intensive visual arts with general studies courses, while the liberal art program mainly focuses on art programs with broad courses in general studies. Whichever art and design program people choose, an art and design education is very good to have.
