Taking the Pain Out of Cosmetic Surgery

For many, cosmetic surgery is done out of want rather than necessity. It most cases it is done to fight aging or improve one’s appearance. Because of that, surgeries such as liposuction and breast augmentation have become increasingly popular. Although they do make you feel better about yourself, the surgery can put you out for weeks to months at a time and leave you in excruciating pain.

Luckily, there are alternatives to going under the knife for cosmetic surgery. Advancements in medical lasers have created non-invasive surgical equipment to help reduce the pain that comes along with surgery, yet still yield the same results. Two types of surgeries that have especially benefited from this are liposuction and breast augmentation.

The most advanced liposuction equipment out today is the Zerona laser. It is the first non-invasive laser treatment of its kind approved by the FDA. It has proven to help patients loose an average of 3.64 inches from their hips, waists and thighs. What is even better is that there is no pain, swelling or scarring after surgery. By melting the fat through low level lasers, the fat is simply passed through the digestive system. The procedure is also gentle enough for you to go back to work the next day, pain-free.

Breast augmentation, like liposuction, can bring a world of pain. Since it entails inserting something into the body, some part needs to be cut open. Whatever that may be, it can be extremely painful during the recovery process. Most surgeries are done by hand with precision cuts can take weeks to recover from. Recent studies have shown that the incisions done with a laser have been proven to induce less pain and if felt at all, feel like a mild sunburn. Like Zerona, people have been able to go back to work within a few days of the surgery.

Whether you are getting cosmetic surgery out of want or necessity, be ready for a period of recovery time if you choose to do it the old fashioned way. If you want to be back on your feet and at work the next day, consider cosmetic laser treatments. You will find them to be virtually painless, yet provide you with great results.
