Computer aided design or computer aided drafting and design is also otherwise known as CAD. These are a combination of programs that allow people to use computer technology for the process of drafting and design of everything from simple machines to skyscrapers.

Different computer-aided design system have many uses depending upon the type of drafting or designing work that needs to be done. It is also possible to edit designs easily. Errors or mistakes can easily be corrected and the computer can keep track of the values inputted to a design and automatically changes it accordingly when the user alters a value.
