It does not take long to get that these days's generation is faced with some terribly serious issues. On any given day, you'll be able to see them plastered as the most recent headline highlighting a dire economy, record-breaking unemployment, meltdowns on Wall Street, company bailouts, and the escalation of global terrorism and war. Yet, as serious as all of those issues are, they only function symptoms of a a lot of pressing dilemma occurring worldwide, that is the lack of effective leadership.
It's All About Leadership
International leadership knowledgeable and author Myles Monroe stated in his book, In Charge: Finding the Leader Inside You (2008, p. xvi), "Nothing happens while not leadership. Nothing changes while not leadership. Nothing develops while not leadership. Nothing improves without leadership. Nothing is corrected without leadership. Everybody, everywhere, every time is always being led."
One way to total up what Dr. Monroe states is that it's all about leadership. Every success and failure, victory and defeat, will be attributed to the effectiveness - or lack thereof - of a leader. Simply place, good leaders produces good results while poor leaders manufacture poor ones. The explanation why we tend to face such challenges in the world today is due to poor leadership. People in positions of power and influence creating dangerous decisions typically because of self-serving ideals and therefore the preoccupation of power instead of being really concerned for the welfare of others.

The Leadership Dilemma
Ironically, there's no lack of folks occupying offices of leadership. The dilemma comes from the fact that a lot of of them are simply not effective leaders. They're additional concerned concerning maintaining the establishment than effecting change. Hence, we have the planet's ongoing dependence on oil, the growing chasm between the made and the poor, and therefore the continued ethical degeneration of gift and future generations.

The sole means to correct this dilemma is by discovering and developing ordinary folks who are willing to use their gifts and skills to bring about extraordinary change. In essence, the answer is effective leadership. Leadership that has real solutions, produces valuable leaders, and provokes hope for a better future. This is the type of leadership that is primarily based on the biblical principle of being our brother and sister's keeper and underscores the core beliefs of unity, prosperity and liberty for all.
