Anyone who meets my 7-year-recent daughter would agree that she is one happy kid. And as her daddy, I've gotten to see that her happiness doesn't return by accident. There are some natural ways that of being that tend to keep her cruising along from one happy moment to the next. Here 5 gems of knowledge that I've learned from her:
1. Appreciate the Tiny Things
For her life is a literal playground. Everywhere we have a tendency to go she sees wonders to marvel at, toys to play with, and people to enjoy. I will never forget an occurrence after I needed to look at basketball and I could not find the HD sports station. I used to be impatiently thumbing through channels, worried concerning what I was missing in the best resolution potential, and my daughter goes dancing by carrying my over-sized shoes and a large pair of sunglasses. Who do you think was having more fun in that moment?
2. Ask for What You Need (And Don't Be Terrified of "No")

Imagine freely asking your boss for raise. Or asking your lover for what you really want while not hesitation. Imagining? Currently imagine hearing no, and then going about your day without any lasting disappointment. Sound superhuman, or a minimum of particularly evolved or mature? But that is how my little woman lives her life every day. And because she isn't petrified of hearing "no," generally she hears "yes."
3. Have Faith
Easy, yet profound. Consider this: my daughter never worries regarding where her next meal is coming back from. She's never involved concerning what might be looming tomorrow at school. She's never anxious about if she'll have enough of anything tomorrow, or next week, or next month. She assumes, while not even being aware that she's assuming, that she'll have whatever she needs. And, incredibly, she's always right.
4. Don't Worry Regarding Disapproval
One among the defining traits of my happy kid is friendliness, significantly to other tiny children. Therefore when she passes by different youngsters, she virtually always waves and says hi. But at least seven times out of ten, the response may be a blank stare. Generally an admonishing parent will prompt their child to retort in kind, however many still stay quiet. At times it has hurt me to see her friendliness go openly ignored. However her reaction? "Should be shy." And she continues happily on her way.
5. Provide Thanks
What does thanking other people have to try and do with making happiness for oneself? In watching my polite little woman navigate her manner through life, I've seen how her saying "thank you" absolutely impacts how people treat her. Myself included. I will always remember once when she was eighteen-months recent and I was giving her a bath. I used to be sitting nearby, lost in thought, and he or she abruptly stops enjoying together with her floating red letters and turns to me and says "Thanks thus a lot of for all your facilitate these days, Daddy." For her that was a simple many thanks, however for me it was a great laugh and cherished memory. One kind word can go a protracted way.
