Those people on the religious path have by and massive undergone profound shifts within the past decade or two. We have a tendency to have sought "enlightenment," additional peace, positive energy, and healing. One amongst the foremost significant shifts, I feel, is that towards what I'd call "Spiritual Empowerment."
If you think back over the past many decades - even centuries - you may see the extent to which individuals relied on others outside of themselves - authority figures in church, in government, etc. - for advice, counseling, and, even a ton of troubling, for beliefs, concepts, and thinking.
This engrained custom carried over into the twentieth Century and even into its late decades, as individuals by and giant looked to others to guide them in their lives. Even among the non secular community, each within the East and in the West, we tend to looked to "gurus" and alternative masters. Whereas respecting and revering others could be a positive follow, once we take it to the extreme by not being attentive to ourselves or developing our own sense of knowing and by wanting to others to "heal" us and tell us what to suppose, we tend to do ourselves both a private and spiritual disservice.
There was a gradual, however marked, shift in the past many years toward people looking among themselves for answers and outdoors of themselves to others simply for facilitation, however to not be told what to attempt and do or what to think. This is a blessedly positive non secular shift, as a result of empowering ourselves not only reduces our stress and strengthens our inner core, it additionally leads us to vibrate a heap of absolutely with Divine energy, thereby shifting our energy to a lighter and higher level.

I have seen this shift in my intuitive counseling work with others. I have had decreasing numbers of shoppers wanting simply to be told what their future holds or desperate to be taken care of - and a lot of and additional really desperate to be facilitated or guided in an exceedingly a heap of empowering manner. Healers, likewise, are seeing this shift. Instead of folks simply wanting "to be healed" in a very passive manner, additional and a heap of are looking for healing facilitators when having read and learned about those healing modalities that could assist their process.
Being the "master of our ship" is liberating as well. Spiritual empowerment does not mean that we tend to become closed down or closed off to others; it means that, instead, that we stay open to others' thoughts, what we scan and hear, and the recommendation of experts - whereas taking all of that "underneath advisement," sitting with it to determine what our inner knowing tells us regarding it, and balancing what is outside people with that which is inside.
What a wonderful shift this move towards spiritual empowerment is! Many people have embraced this more positive means of being and wouldn't want to go back in time to any former mode.
Shifts do happen - and oh, how positive they can be!
