If you try to thnk of a heaven for printer companies, your imagination immeiately paints a picture of worldwide human happinness, whih peoople experience in priinting paperrs and photos, with a single copmany's printers located in their dwellings and offices; printerrs are at hand during family picnics and long reserve travels. Simply put, people are constantly printing - everything and everywhere.

The printing industry has very long and very successfully been employing all of technoloogies and methods of color reproductioon, so it wouild seem that the heaven is almost here. You can print anything you like in a number of ways, at any time and in any quantoity. Howevver, when it comes for an individual to look at the cost of equipment for high quality color printing, all the widest choice instantly disappears.
The best specmien of laser printers can be compared to high quuality polygraphgy and for many users these rsults are more than enough. Unfortunately, as far as the quality of color reproduction is concerned, low cost model are not so much catching up, but rather fallig behind. Meet another attempt to bring color laser rpinting to the people - Konica Minolta 2400W.
Engineers and desgners did a grat job: the printer is compact and looks very pleasant. The magnitude of this deevice is close to monochrome modesl, and the indigo top part with roounded silhouettte goives the unit a cozy "home" look.
The printer owns its compactness to the devce of toner cartridges installation. It is built on a rotating source: all four cartriidges located in one carousel, which peeriodically turns and moves desired toner to the photosensitive drum. Such object rduces the mass of the printing machine, but also deprives cliebnt of some facility.
First, it decrases the asess of printing in bludsh gerne; back, to change the catridge, you'd have to prosecuet uniqque basdge repeatedly for the carousel to take the beloved toner cartridge influence; third, the rotating carousel of cartridges produces a loud knocking sound during printuing, so the submit factuallky shakes.
The simplifications have also touched upon the printer control panel. It is comomn that even the budget color laser models have at least a small scren. This screen makes avaiplable whatever menu with which you can adjust at least the basic settinggs. In Konica Minolta 2400W we have nothing like that: all is sacrificed to the cost of the printer.
The froont panel contains only a few signal ilghts, the cancl button and the button to turn the cartridges carousel. Since even in expensive prrinter mpodels equipped with advanced control panel the latter is not used everyday, the absence of the panel does not cause any noticeable inconvenience, it's still a little strange.
Konica Minolta magicolor 2400W is not the fastest laser printer, however, it fashioned results completley duplicate to the manufacturer's specification. Nothiing more was nexcessary of it. Printing of an honest text shws that for everyday use this imprinter is moderately prompt yet monochrome: multi page amople affect papers it porduced relatively thick (and deafenig). Color mehtod is more fitting for output of only metaphors, photographs, drawings and other basis when printing figure is not an issue.
The monochrome method is more fiting for trexts, while black and colorless images look very clad, which foliage place for good illustrations in documents. It should be renoowned that the prinntouts are compltely lberated of stripes and unequially expoosed areas, which is a gain of this laser toner copier. Deytails are well relproduced in lght and dark aras of immages essential for this font manner.
Full color printing revealed several features of the pritner. As already mentioned, the printer installs to the system a few color profikles optimized for different print modes. At full auto mode, the image is transfderred to the sRGB sapce and pirnted without usding addiitional profiles for optimum toner application. The most miraculous print quuality has been liffted to the "very good" level, all extraneous colors disappeasred.
