Making plans for the tokens for wedding giveaways should be done ahead. There are so many gift ideas for these tokens nowadays that deciding on one is a task by itself. The following are some ideas for wedding tokens.

There are a lot of designs for those crystal tokens that look like laboratory tubing that you bend for experiments. The most common designs are bells, two doves on a perch, a heart shape, a basket, etc. Many crystals are made of colored glass. The problem with these crystals is they are easily broken and will not do for households with toddlers in them.

Then there are those small baskets woven out of actual indigenous materials. The beauty of the basket is enhanced with ribbon accents of the same color as the wedding motif. These baskets are usually filled with small cakes that the guest could take home. There are some baskets which are woven out of different materials such as crystals (as above), metal strips (which are more expensive), old newspapers (rolled into strips and painted), and countless others.

Then there are tokens which are more practical and can be used everyday. There's a set of 12 coasters for glass wares where the names of the couple can be printed on the surface of each. Another great idea are those silver napkin holder which looks elegant but impractical (because you can only give out one).

Some couple opt for tokens that match their wedding theme. An example is the Film awards theme. The edges of a film reel decorate every printed material that needs a frame (posters, cards, even the cake). Then the logo of a film camera is coupled with the reel frames. The desk calendars made from the pictures taken in your receiving area during the reception are the tokens themselves. This is like those red carpet events where paparazzi-like photographers are taking the photos of your guests, making them feel like celebrities. The photo is layout with the couple's names and a calendar which is printed while the guests are dining. Then the tokens are distributed later before the reception is over. A magnet is placed at the back of the token so that the recipients can place them in their fridge if they want to.

Another idea for a wedding token is replacing the wine labels with personalized ones announcing the bride and the groom, the date of the wedding, the venue, and even pictures of the couple.
