The Winner's Mind - Religious Strategies For a Balanced Life

Winning begins within the mind. The finest facilities and the most effective equipment cannot equal the decisive distinction of a winners mind. This is true in every area of life. However development of the winner's mind requires discipline and training. The following points are fundamental to the current endeavor.
1. Listen to Your Words
The scriptures declare that the mouth speaks what the mind believes. Therefore it's vital for us to listen to our words, for they're a revelation of our thoughts. However if the words reveal the thoughts, they conjointly shape them. Repeating words of scripture for example is a superb method of changing the tenor of our thoughts. Words of despair coming back from a discouraged, disappointed heart can deepen the unhappiness and build it more difficult to vary the means we tend to see things. On the opposite hand consciously changing our speech will change the course of our thoughts. This is often not denying the method we feel, but recognizing it and taking action to change it.
2. Cultivate Mountain Moving Faith

Plant a mustard seed of faith in the mind by choosing to believe that with God all things are possible. The greatest mountains we tend to have to move are mountains in the mind. After I made the choice to resign a successful and satisfying ministry in the Caribbean and relocate to California literally 0.5 a world away I had no plan how I'd support myself and two kids, but I actually believed that God knew the circumstances and would not allow us to fall. Since then I have seen many evidences that despite my unfaithfulness he remains faithful. Perhaps you face a life changing call and may doubt you've got the ability or the courage required to create it, understand that your greatest barrier could be in your mind.
3. Live Among the Will of God
Living within the can of God will increase confidence to face not possible odds. It infuses courage and provides guidance. Knowing and living within the can of God needs what I call the five Cs of Victory; Communion, Contemplation, Cooperation, Communication, and Celebration.
Communion with God in prayer involves learning to pay attention to the inner voice of his spirit, "Be still and know."
Contemplation is puzzling over the impressions, thoughts and ideas flowing out of communion.
Communication involves consulting with trusted advisors who bring wisdom and non secular insight in grips on your conclusions.
Cooperation is readiness to follow through with actions required to fulfill the plans
Celebration is the natural outgrowth of living in the can of God. Every day is an opportunity to experience the joy of his presence and therefore the satisfaction of his approval. Cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving and gratitude.
4. Avoid Toxic Situations and Individuals
Your mind is your greatest asset; confirm to safeguard it from people who would poison it. Typically, I outline these as something or anyone that may generate feelings of self-pity, self-hatred, self-doubt and irrational fears while not helping us toward resolution. The recommendation of Paul is on the mark, "whatever is true, no matter is noble, whatever is true, whatever is pure, no matter is pretty, no matter is admirable suppose about such things" (Phil four:8)
5. Try for Total Well Being
We tend to live in four interlocking dimensions of being, body-the physical; mind-thoughts; emotions-feelings and spirit-the sum total of ourselves. Time and effort invested in total health results in optimal performance in all dimensions.
6. Learn to work out with the Third Eye, the Eye of the Spirit
Usually we have a tendency to are fixated on true as it seems before the natural eye and we are annoyed into inactivity. The third eye sees divine activity at work on our behalf. Centuries ago the prophet Elijah when surrounded by enemy soldiers seeking to capture him prayed that God would open the eyes of his terrified servant. When his eyes were opened he was in a position to determine the encircling hills filled with angels ready to deliver the prophet. We tend to would like to continuously remember that in our struggle, we have a tendency to aren't alone there are divine forces engaged in battle for us. The third eye helps us see ourselves as God sees us, objects of his love and trophies of his kingdom. We are indeed on the winning side.
