I normally shy away from commenting on political message boards. Individuals who are opinionated enough to post in the primary place are not visiting be persuaded by what I say in 150 words or less. Perhaps it helps me feel higher about the state of our government knowing that MY views and opinions are out there for all to see. This said, I do frequent message boards, social networks, and news sites, not solely for informational functions, however to garner the public perception on issues that interest me, and more importantly, affect me.
I recently found one thing on a social networking web site in opposition of a local Republican congressmen's "no" vote on the Healthcare Bill thus disturbing and ignorant, I might be doing a disservice not to reply. He wrote:
"This Bill just about gave the majority of this trailor trash State free Medicare, not to say a fairly big boost to cash for school kids... thus go ahead and support the whining, crying Republicans, who offer little a lot of than complaints, however no real solutions."
Putting the poor grammar, spelling, and the fact that the majority of the sentences do not create sense aside, the very premise of his argument extremely makes me marvel how he knew a way to flip on his computer, abundant less post a comment on a message board. "This Bill just about gave the majority of this trailor trash State free Medicare..." This is often the terribly premise of the argument that conservatives and fiscal aware Democrats are screaming regarding for months: "How are we have a tendency to going to pay for it?"

Mr. Anonymous poster, this therefore called "free Medicare" isn't free! Who do you think that is going to get it? You are, and I am, and every one different tax payers; (this is often of course assuming that he pays taxes or will figure out how.) I took and passed first grade math, but I still don't perceive how our country will reduce/save the deficit over $one hundred billion by spending $1 trillion. If I am going into a store and buy a $one,000 LCD television, I did not economize and am no further ahead financially just because the television was marked down from $one,500.
What the passage suggests that to everyday Americans (including our anonymous poster) is higher taxes and a lower quality of healthcare for all. The passage was exchanged for a perfect that just isn't possible for those leaders to feel warm and fuzzy. You see Mr. Poster, the Republicans did provide solutions, they simply weren't well received. How about opening up competition across state lines in turn lowering costs? How regarding tort reform to lower malpractice insurance costs that can pass the savings on to the shoppers in flip lowering prices? How regarding removing the thousands of unnecessary government and Union jobs in Medicare and Medicaid, that clog the system and solely serve to feed the paperwork?
Oh and FYI Mr. Poster, the Republicans did offer a therefore known as real resolution: to not pass a bill that can drain our Country financially and cripple the capitalistic system for generations to come.
