This is also means that there will be tons of boxes or crates to unpack and decors to arrange. Our new house would be a mess and you still have to things to do with this relocation process. It is, however, necessary to accept these circumstances as they are and enjoy the spirit of building a new home.

You could already appreciate your new home and start another chapter in your life in a new neighborhood after a few days. Have you thought of throwing a housewarming party, this may be the solution. Here's a list of things to do:

1. Pick a theme that would make guests do something fun. A" Wall Art" theme will be perfect if your walls are still bare. Remove all wall decors and hangings, mounting tools, nails, paint, wall clock, etc. Place them on a table near the entrance and as each guest arrives, have them pick up an item or two to mount on the wall.

2. You can send out invitations to your neighbors, include your complete contact details and your address.

3. Make sure your invitation has an indication that there will be kids in the party if you have guests who will bring food, so they can bring food that kids enjoy as well.

4. Make sure that you have your photos taken with every guest who comes in. This will help you bond with them throughout your stay in the neighborhood.

5. After the party, send thank you cards with the photos you took of your guests during the party.

These are simple tips that could help you have a smooth moving process and gain new friends in the neighborhood where you may be staying for a long period of time. It's great to live in a place where you are comfortable with the people around you. A housewarming party is your way to show to your new neighbors that you're glad to have moved and that you'd love to be in their company.
