The sport of skiing has more facets than you can imagine. First of all, there is of course the traditional form which is generally practiced on predetermined and well-marked slopes. Then there is cat skiing which is basically the same thing except for the fact that all the limits and rules go out the window, which is of course strongly related to snowcats and helicopters. Heliskiing is for definitely the ultimate snow experience but the prohibitive price keeps most people from enjoying it. Equally as fun only much more affordable we have snow catskiing which is basically a form of powder skiing which makes us of heavy duty vehicles that can go up and down the mountain whilst still maintaining a warm ride for its occupants. Powder skiing allows tourists to ride fresh snow that offers an incredible experience. Most people tend to get bored after riding the same slopes year after year so they even try to find other activities but snow catskiing like any other form of powder skiing really, is able to bring back the joy we all had the first times on the snow.
Snow catskiing has really picked up in numerous countries around the world with more and with more and more people becoming interested in this sport companies have also started to diversify their services. For example, if in the beginning, mountain lodges that were neither too warm nor too comfortable were pretty much the only option, nowadays tourists can enjoy their stay in luxury mountain resorts that welcome them will everything they could want. Even though luxury mountain resorts will generally lead you to think about somewhat crowded resorts where you have to share the snow with people of different ages and various skill levels, when you put luxury mountain resorts in the same sentence with snow catskiing the situation changes completely. These types of luxury mountain resorts are not primarily aimed at the rich and famous who want to have a little escape somewhere in the mountains and maybe put on a pair of skis, they are aimed towards people that have enough courage and skill to try powder skiing in its rawest form.

In terms of cost snow catskiing is far more affordable than heliskiing, for example, but this does not mean that it is an inferior experience. Another option that is available when on a snow catskiing vacation is tree skiing. Most people seem to prefer powder skiing, however, because they can focus more on direction and riding at considerable speeds, while in the case of tree skiing the focus is set on attention and reflexes. Weather is of course a key factor in this sport and there are certain optimum year periods. Finding the best luxury mountain resorts that specialize in providing tourists with these types of services, are pretty easy to find if you are going to use the internet, but keep in mind that it does take a little research to find the right one.
