The modelling and fashion arena are very much complicated and comprehensive career. There are no specifically called fashion companies and it is nothing but emerges from a wide area of enterprises working in the apparel, footwear, home textiles, and accessories markets. The fashion industry is made up of various kinds of corporate such as retailers, design source and selling companies with their own manufacturing facilities. These companies functioning in the high fashion segment always face a different kind of pressure when compared to those functioning with commodity fashion goods. All these aspect had made the fashion industry as one of the most complicated industry. Instead of all this various issues can also be noticeably recognized as common across the industry.

In this industry consumer is the king and they has the power to change anything and everything. The fashion industry is differentiated by global chains and complicated logistics. As production process may involve various processes, the companies have to deal with global sourcing problems and need to regularly evaluate their sourcing strategies which make supply chains to be a little bit complicated. The product launching and delivery takes a lot of time as fashion industry works through the many pre production steps which includes yarn or fabric selection, garment department, specification and sampling and lot more. The companies should be able to manage the product mix and the inventory control assumes vital importance and there is also great impact of the latest technology on the modelling and fashion industry. Consumers are having more purchasing power than the earlier days and are less tolerant due to an increased pressure on time in today’s life styles.

These consumers are more aware of the environmental and human rights issues which have superior quality demands. They require huge variety and more frequent changes in the choices available to them. Moreover there will be lot of expectation for them to get perfect matching set of garments and accessories in their preferred color and size in a particular store. When we consider about the fact about how to satisfy the consumer needs the retailers will be on the first line, and also the companies in the supply chain are also motivated by the anticipation of the expectations and requirements of their customers.

Start from designing till the production stage all the suppliers should have check that stores are stocked with the correct requirements according to the consumers’ demand of their products. In the present era of globalization and stiff competition those companies which are able to meet the consumer requirements will remain in a profitable environment
