When you suffer from really bad snoring you have to pay attention because severe snoring like this can be a sign of some other health issue. Not only that, even although you think you are getting a good night's sleep, in reality you aren't, because you aren't getting the correct sleep cycle.

And there's even more, because if you snore you aren't the only one that is affected. The condition can be so bad and loud that anyone sleeping in the same room as you, or even next door to you, are hugely affected too. Many couples split up due to chronic snoring issues.

There are several ways to tackle your snoring problem. And one way is the use of stop snoring devices. Here are just 3 that many people have found to be effective...

1. Snoring Mouthpiece

Snore mouthpieces are worn in the mouth during sleeping. They work on the principal that snoring can be caused by your jaw falling backwards during sleep. Because you tongue is connected to your lower jaw this falls into the back of your mouth. This then blocks your airways, thus causing the horrendous sounds of snoring.

They work by helping to move and maintain your lower jaw in its normal position in relation to your top jaw. Because your tongue is connected to your lower jaw, this prevents it slipping back into the airway, and so helps to prevent snoring.

2. Stop Snoring Pillows

A snore pilow is a very popular anti snoring device. It works by repositioning the head, neck and spine in the best possible position to keep your airways open. And more open airways means less chance of snoring.

Since sleeping on your back allows your jaw to drop down and your tongue to move back and constrict your airway, this sleeping position is bad for a snorer. So some snore pillows are so designed that they prevent you sleeping on your back, and force you onto your side for a more comfortable sleeping position, with less chance of snoring.

3. Chin Straps

These devices fit around your head so that your lower jaw is held in the appropriate position to stop it falling back during sleep. By doing this your airways are kept open so that snoring has less chance to develop during the night.

These 3 anti snoring devices can certainly help you to stop snoring at night, and, if your relationship is in difficulty, can help to repair that too.
