1. Prior to placing your fruits in the basket, line the basket first with a red doily or any decorative cloth big enough to slightly hang at the rim of your basket. Arrange your fruits, placing the green, yellow and orange-colored fruits first. The reddish or plum-colored fruits should stay on top of the other fruits. Next, make a bow ribbon from a 3" red ribbon. Paste it on the lower left side of the basket's handle. Add multi-colored artificial flowers and glue it around the ribbon. And then, you can stick some store-bought butterflies in different colors on top of the fruits.
2. If you're giving your fruit gift basket to a sick single lady, try adding a fish bowl with a pair of goldfish or other attractive fish of your choice. Select a fruit basket with higher sides. Line the basket with a blue cloth big enough to fall at the basket's rim. Then, place the fish bowl at the center of your basket. Arrange the fruits around the fish bowl. Stick a mini placard into the fish bowl with the sign " I FISH YOUR SMILE...GET WELL SOON!" Don't forget to give her the fish food, too.
