Man needs food to survive. Without food, people would only live for a few weeks and then die. However, not everything being offered in the supermarket, fast food chain and restaurant is healthy and some foods are even harmful to one's health. That is why it is very important to be choosy and conscious about what one would consume.
Here is a list of some foods and food habits that are good for our oral health.

Proper Eating Habits that is good for your Oral Health
1. You need to drink water occasionally, aside from the recommended serving per day, will help improve you oral hygiene. Gargling also reduces the amount of bacteria in your mouth. They will flush out some of the bacteria in your mouth that causes bad breath.
2. When eating, choose foods that are high in fiber. Raw foods that are high in fiber are great cleaners for your mouth. Raw foods also help in your mouth's salivation. It increases the salivation level of your mouth, which helps neutralize the acid and alkalis level in your mouth.
You can either make these into juice by putting into blender, diced, blended or grinded. Eating raw foods after every meal to help clean your mouth. If you are eating fruits that have acid in it, it would be best to rinse your mouth to remove the acid which causes weakening to the enamel.
3. Cheese - Of course, cheese is made of dairy. This will help strengthen your jaw and your teeth. Cheese has a high level of calcium while low in carbohydrate. Cheese also helps neutralize the pH level in your mouth; pH level is the acidity level of your mouth which helps the growth of bacteria in your mouth that causes cavity.
4. Kiwi - These have high levels of vitamin C. A single kiwi has more vitamin C than the recommended daily amount needed by our body. This helps strengthen the collagen on your gum which helps your gum stay strong.
Remember that not everything edible is good for the body. When we have the right knowledge regarding these things, we will know what to do to keep our body healthy.
