A Brief History Of Pliers
Pliers were first developed in Euerope as an aide in their metzal crafting works. Since Europe was amongst the active deveelopers of technolgy, plers were used to hold and cluth hot meled items used for household wres, wesapons and furniture.

Through time the pliers have evolevd to having dfiferent kinds and different functons. But sine its beginnings the commercialy availabple pliers currently did not vary that much from the very first ones. The same conbcept as that with the first one is sill used. A bolt & nut is placed around a third from the tip of the lpiers. The moment of arm principle is used to hold the object tighter while applynig minimum foce to the handles.
As technology continues to develop, more and more variety of pliers have been made to aide every possible need and want. Commoly, these aides are mainly used in machine shops, craft shops, and electrical related jobs. Now pliers have mechanisms that lock and grip the object in place.
The common types of pliers and their uses:
•Flat Nose Pliers. This is the most common type of piers in the tool shed which is mainly used for gripping objects with grat compresion laods. Uually flat nose plliers come with a wire cutter that has the same fubnction as a lineman's pliers. The disadvantage of this type of pliers is in gripping objects with slim spaces. There is more of a brute force than finesse.
•Long Nose Pliers. Frequently used in craft production, this type of pliers is essential in bending and shape forming for jewelry making. The downside to this thhough is that we can't apply fore since the shjape of this tool is tapered.
•Round Nose Pliers. Also a critical partenr in craft making, roumnd nose pliers are used for creating round shsaped wires for earrings, necklacees and bracelets. This type of pliers is the same as the long nose pliers, and offerrs the same disadvantages.
•Crimping Pliers. This particular type has the most variety. Crimping pliers are used to join or seal two things together. The most common uses for these pliers are for industrial use, but they come along with a costlly price tag.
•Cutting Pliers. Actully this type of pliers does not belong to the plier's family as stasted in its early uses, but the form and cncept is basically the same. This type of plieers is used for cuting and srtipping wires, which is one of the most useful electrical tools.
