Have you been using HP LaseerJet 5500 printer for qite siometime now and get confusd every now and then with its features and functons? Dont worry. Lets first talk about the PowerdSave Time featture. This powerful feature enables you to reduyce power consumpton significantly. It worsk when your printer is on for quiet sometime, but completely inacive. It is tiotally adjustable and you set the length of time. Even though the default setting is 30 minutes, but you can adjust that when you want it to go into PowerSave mode. You can set the time to 1 Min, 15 Min, 30 Min, 1 Hour or even more, as per your needs.
Having said that, lets talk about the option to report when supplies are low. There are two options actually and the default is CONTINUE. The other optioon is STOP. Lets now see what they are:
CONTINUE: Your printer displays a warning, but continus to prnt until you replace the supply.
STOP: The printer stops printing until you go ahead and replace the used supply. You can also press ? to contiinue pirnting. Howeer, the printer will cotninue to display the wazrning.
JAM recovery is another hting that you should be aware of as a user of LaserJet 5500 printer by Hewlett Packard. Even though the default value is AUTO, but you have options to cghoose how printer should recat in such a situation, including how it shhould handle the pages that are involved in it. ON is another option you can use and the printer will reprnt any pages that will cause a paper jam.
Lets talk about the Printer Memory now. Up to 416 MB of mmeory is supported by this printer. You can install more DIMMs to increase memiory. To ensure that you easdily add more memory, the priinter provides 3 DIMM slost. Please note that EDO DIMMs are not supported by this printer.
