4-Color Printing: The Right Choice to Printing Marketing Materials

Many small businesses are struggling to find ways to promote their business cost effectively these days. With recession and the cost of materials constantly rising, many find it hard to channel their professional image in their marketing materials. But because people will only buy from you when they know your products and trust your credibility, this makes it more important to market extensively.

Selling your business though is a tough job. You would go through countless refusals and let downs by customers. But don’t get dispirited. There are countless ways to market effectively at the lowest cost. One such way is 4-color printing.

Because marketing requires you to print brochures, catalogs, flyers, or posters, the best way to make them exceptionally enticing is to design them attractively. Naturally, full color printing would cost a lot. So, the other option available to you is 4-color printing. Done creatively, 4-color printing can actually give you eye catching materials with creative themes and designs.

Obviously, before you put into print your design, you need to decide what to include in your materials. Should the logo be printed small, the texts in large fonts, and the images taking up most of the background or only placed in one corner? All these have to be figured out to ensure you are getting the most out of your 4-color printing. After all, visual representation is important to achieve the ideal design and texture you want for your materials.

You can always ask the services of a graphics designer to help you design your material. They have the knowledge and skill in creating effective marketing materials. But still, the best way to truly produce a material that is your own—that which is unique and remarkably appealing—is to create your own design. This can be done easily by keeping in mind three things: appearance, uniqueness, and suitability.

Appearance. It doesn’t matter what you want your material to look like, what is important is you convey the right image to your target customers with the materials. So, don’t be afraid to experiment with colors to create a remarkably appealing marketing material.

Distinctiveness. Imagination is the limit when it comes to your materials. You have every possible choice when it comes to the colors to use in your post cards, flyers, or brochure printing. It may be confusing at first to determine the right color to use in your print job. After all, each color conveys different moods and meaning. For instance, black means sophistication and professionalism, while purple conveys wealth, intelligence and creativity. But if you are clear on your goal and the message you want your target customers to obtain, then color choices would be a walk in the park.

Suitability. This means that your color choices should meet with your business image. You simply cannot create a material based on your preference. Just think of what your customers would feel when they see a brochure covered with bloody red images? Or perhaps a material all printed in black? Chances are they would be pessimistic about the credibility of your business, thinking that you are not serious about your product offerings.

The bottom line is 4-color printing can be a good choice as long as color choice is done appropriately. As long as you are able to create a good design, you are sure to create exceptionally appealing marketing materials.
