By building links on the internet thus having them point back at your site will not only drive more traffic to your site but increase your SEO. Increase your link rankings and using the following simple techniques!
1. Write articles or reviews like the 1 we are writing here. As you will see we have listed our site in this article and therefore we too will get an active backlink wherever this article gets distributed to effectively. After all it would be silly if we wrote this entire article and didn't leave our site info and link in it.

2. Post articles, comments, reviews or commentary on forums that permit you to have a description on your site and link to it. Chances are this will not add a that much page rank as forums tend to not have that high of a page rank however you will be linking your site effectively for other members to see and visit.
3. Employ Directory Submission: Try to post your site and url link in as many directories as possible. Obviously the higher quality with the higher page rank the better. If your to busy to do this as it does involve a large amount of time, you can always pay to have a service submit them for you. This is a good, quick, safe way to build your links to your site.

Connect with other Website owners and Exchange Links: Sometimes its best to exchange links with other website owners, webmasters, and web users that are either in a similar market and or have the same or better tracking ranking then your site. This tends to be a slow procedure and actually linking both ways (reciprocal) linking is not always as good as one way links. The benefit is getting users, surfers, customers, and other traffic from the other site to see your link and come visit your site thus boosting your rankings & traffic. .
5. Do you own Multiple sites or Networks? If you do make sure to link or interlink them all together but only do this if they are on different servers and IP addresses otherwise search engines will think your tricking the system and this will rank against you.

Assemble a Reciprocal directory: Some website owners have had a lot of success in building a reciprocal directory therefore allowing a number of other web users with websites to place their link in your Index. By doing so you can then ask them to place your link in return on their site for allowing them to submit to your Reciprocal Index. This will also help you build content on your site.
7. Build a theme or template for scripts (example: wordpress): When doing so you can put your link in the bottom of the template or top saying "Developed by xxxxx.com" replacing the x's for your website name. The only problem with this strategy is that you will have to market these themes, designs and templates so people use them.
8. Purchase Quality Links: You can search google, bing, and others to buy quality links (PR6 or above possibly). The only downside is that this can be costly and some services demand you pay monthly, quarterly, or yearly to keep your links active. Search for the best ones with the best deals but remember you want quality PR (page rank) links. This will most likely dramatically increase your links and or traffic.
9. Write and Submit Blogs: Make sure to start a blog for your website and submit it to all the Blog directories with your website url. The more quality content you write on your blog the more it will show up in the search engines with your website link in it. Make sure you dont spam or abuse other blogs or forums/sites by annoying people with worthless content just so you can get a link back to your site. Keep the content good quality as it will pay off in the long term.
10. Write Good Testimonials: If you have bought a product from ebay or any website in the past or currently thinking of doing so, make sure you put a thank you or testimonial with your signature (website url). This will help with the linking to your site.
