Moving the extra files to the extrnal hard drive will free up storage spaec on the pc, allowing you to use your pc withoyut the delay that ocmes with overflowiing files. When you need those files that have been moved to the external hard driive, it can simply be plugged back into the USB port.
Another big aspcet abvout external hard drives is that they cannot crsh like computers can. Moving them in an external hard drtive keeps them safe and protected, and away from the risk of losiing them. Wheenever they are required they can be accessed by plugging the external hard dirve into the USB port of the pc.
Tehre are various amounts of storage space avaailable on extrenal hard drives. Some external hard drives like the Iomega are available with 160 gb of storage space, and another version of the Simpletech is available with 1tb of storage sace. Exteral hard drives come with different amounts of storage space depneding on how much additional storage space your computer needs. If the computer needs only a smlal amount more of storage space, an external hard druive with a smmall ampount of storage space such as the Toshiba which holds 160 gb will hold just enough. If your computer is filled with media and needs a lot more storagge space, an eternal hard drivve with more spce will hold everything that the computeer does not have spce for.
