Deciding on a career can be a daunting experience for school leavers and for those looking to change their career completely.

Connections is an organised used to help you decide on a career for you, you can also just go online where data bases filled with questions about your hobbies and lifestyle can help fix you up with a job for you.

If you have no idea on what career to choose what so ever firstly write a list of things you defiantly do not want to do. That way you may see a pattern emerging such as you do not want to work outside/ inside you do/not want to work for a community with children/animals ect. Writing a list of nightmare jobs actually helps you narrow down and pattern may form.

Why not ask to try work experience for a week in different setting to see how you like the type of work.

Once you have a rough idea of a slight career path why not find part time work and go to college to further your education until you are certain on what you want to do. This will give you more time and allow you to have the correct qualification to interview for a job.
Some careers offer apprentices that way you can earn money while you learn and also get the qualifications you need. You are working up the ladder and having hands on experience at the same time.

If you are changing career why not go to night school and learn alongside your current job that way you will not lose any wages and you still have the chance to do both part time if you wish. Some night time course, such as nails, hair and beauty, accounts, ect can be done alongside a job so you have the best of both worlds.
