There are so many Mulit-level marketing companies for you to choose from,get the facts to make the right choice for you personally and financially. With all the mlm business available to become a part of you need to know the facts before you choose. Most mlm businesses are just what they appear to be but there are a few unscrupulous people starting business that are nothing but pyramid schemes.
The Classic Pyramid Scheme is all about making money soley by recruiting new "distributors." With offers of amazingly high returns in very short time frames for doing nothing more than giving them your money and talking others into doing the same which is usually a large amount. With thes types of companies they will push for the big money upfront and fast.

Usually these businesses involve some sort of product to make themselves look like a real company. Even though they offer a product or service it is not well promoted by anyone. The push is simply to get more new distributors,who's money they use to pay the people who started the company and those who joined the company at the beginning. At a certain point too many new people have joined and the whole scheme will fall apart because there is not enough money to pay all the new people.
A legitimate multi-level marketing company combines a quality product or service with a sales commission along with an insentive to build a business team in which you also can earn a percentage on their sales.
BE AWARE AND INVESTIGATE 1)If the cost to become a "distributor" is a very large amount check it out it could be a pyramid scheme, a real mlm company usually has a small start up cost.
2)If the company is not concerned with the sales of their product but only focused on recruiting new distributors beware, mlm companies depend on the sales of quality products or services in combination with building a team.
3)Investigate the products and if there is a company buy-back plan if you discontinue as a distributor with the company. A legitimate mlm company will buy-
back any unsold inventory at a percentage.

Investigate more about the company,it's products, it's officers, and any complaints filed against them. Check their marketing plan and get product liturature and talk with other people involved with the business both currently involved and previouly involved. Lastly contact the Direct Selling Association to check on the business in question to see if they are listed as a true multi-level home based business.
