Last week the Food Standard’s Agency wrote to all or any the local authorities in England, Wales or maybe Northern Ireland to inform them of your special modern launch this autumn.
For this the first of October the national Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (FHRS) tend to be rolled out by all 22 local authorities in Wales aside from by many people ‘early adopter’ local authorities for the South West, Easy in addition to some South East in England too.

The new scheme will have been re-branded around the launch, which aims to create the food hygiene ratings system easier for consumers to use. It’s been reported that the unfashionable ‘star’ rating will have gone together with your own personal numerical scale will take its place.
Catriona Steward, Head with the Food Hygiene Ratings Team said:
“We are very happy of starting a look and in addition feel and check if the new branding gives over the scheme since it considers it easy for consumers to see at your personal glance what the hygiene rating could have been.”
The hot ratings scheme have been your welcomed development for quite a few restaurant along with cafe owners, who seek the current service confuses consumers.
The Swindon Reporter last week quoted Phil Saunter calling the system “confusing”:
“Customers thought it had something to perform in the quality of beginning a food whereas it was just about how clean the premises were. Any time you had Michelin starred trips only getting two stars because they didn’t keep their fridge temperature records properly, but McDonald’s getting five stars like. “
But Mr Saunter also thinks the overall re-branding has been your personal little unnecessary:
“These are also visiting be changing all the branding, signs in addition to some letterhead, which sounds to me for instance a complete waste of cash, especially when the Government announced that it may be going to scrap the FSA.”
Swindon isn’t one on your early adopters of your new scheme and also Phil Thomas, head of commercial regulation at Swindon Council, said:
“We will explore this option further coupled with check if this can be something we wish to adopt in Swindon when clearer proposals contain a been presented regarding FSA.”
What do if you think?
Are have been happy the FSA are re-launching the scheme or do once you think it’s just any waste of time coupled with money?
