Acne Scar Skin Care

Who hasn’t been subjected to the ravaging effects of a full-blown acne attack at least once in his or her life? For most people, acne is a common occurrence that they will likely experience at some time or another, and the results can be devastating. The worst cases of acne often leave scars that remain on the skin permanently, and the results arent pretty to say the least. Thankfully, there is a remedy that can help you get rid of those unsightly acne scars safely and effectively: InvisiScar® sheeting patches.

Acne typically occurs on the onset of the teenage years, and the condition may last all through adolescence. While the majority of people manage to be free of acne by the time they reach their 20s, other people arent quite so lucky. Certain predisposed individuals may even find themselves struggling with an acne problem well into their 20s and 30s.

Most acne cases are usually pretty mild, with whiteheads and/or blackheads that clear up without leaving a mark. In severe cases of acne however, painful nodules or cysts may appear, damaging the underlying tissues of the skin. When this happens, scars may form.

Since acne scars so often develop under the skin, it can be hard to treat them or even minimize their appearance. With the revolutionary InvisiScar® treatment, however, there is now a safe and effective way to treat the damage caused by acne scarring, and it does so by a totally non-invasive process.

InvisiScar® silicone sheets work by hydrating acne scar tissue, thus softening it and gradually reducing their redness over time. InvisiScar® silicone sheets come in patches or disks. These should be applied directly onto scarred skin and fixed into place with hypoallergenic adhesive tape, making sure that the edges extend ¼ to ½ inch of skin around the scar in order to ensure maximum cover and effectiveness.

The manufacturers recommend that you leave the InvisiScar® silicone sheets on your skin for only 1-2 hours everyday if it is your first time to use them. You can then increase the length of time that you leave them on as your skin gradually gets used to them. You can simply use the silicone sheets at home before leaving for work or before you go to bed, making sure to keep them clean at all times in order to prevent bacteria buildup.

In general, you will get better results by applying InvisiScar® silicone sheets to your skin as soon as the scar appears and to leave them on until the scar has disappeared completely. Keep in mind also that it will take longer for InvisiScar® silicone sheets to work on older scars.

InvisiScar® is generally safe to use, although some individuals do experience allergic reactions at the site where the patch is applied. When this happens, simply stop using InvisiScar™ for a few days and resume use only when the irritation has disappeared. For persistent allergies, stop using InvisiScar® entirely and consult with a doctor.
