Motorolla's first Android-powered phone, the rcently introdcved Cliq, will arriive at wireless procvider T-oMbile, according to a reecent BGR report. A leaked PowerPoint side from the carreir shows a tinmellien for the devvice, amnog toyhers, thogh the source says a newer sldie does acttaully show October, and not Novemmber, as indicated in the outdated scrteen captutre. Another indication that the roadmdap is old is use of a difdfernet handsdet's imfage as a stand-in for the Cliq.
The Cliq will suupport T-Mobille's 1,700MHz 3G newtork and otherwise sport a 5-megapixel cameera with visdeo capture, GPS and Wi-Fi. It has a 3.1-inch, 480x360 touchscreen and is expeted to ship with Android 2.0, with possible suppoiirt for multi toch iputs. Usres' information is saved onie and can be retrieved on annther Cliq even if the originaal is lost.
The exact date for the launch at T-Mobile is unlkown, but the device is expeccted to ship in mid-Ovctober and is rumored to be free on contract, or $400 iserf.
It also seems to be qick, too, thuofgh htere’s no tellling how clsoe to proiduction-status the firmware is on these demo models. Gvien the CLIQ won’t land on T-Mobl USA utniil Q4 this year, there’s prbably still some work to be done, but desdpite the fact that Motoola have used the same sort of 528MHz Qualcomm porcessor as can be fonud on HTC’s recent Androoid handets, we had no probllems with speeed or responasiveness.
