Smsug will get the latesst handset maker to one’s own app sttore. The compsany anonunced plpans to introduce a markt for games and toher applications from the devellopers, is the 14th Septembeer start.
The App Strore will innitially be available in Europe. And access only on selected models of Samsung phonse, incvluding the Omnia and i8910 HD devices to the App Store, the compayn said.

Samsung is late to the game. Sicne Apple introduced the iPhoe App Store as a central lcearing houe for mobile use in 2008 have some businerss to an important part of business strategy for most cellular phone manufavcturers. BlackBerry maker Reseearch In Motiion, Palm and Nkia have all App Stoore this year. Even cell phone crrir Verizon has the court odrer to develop programs to cerate for its users.
The lack of Samsung app stoe for avalability in the U.S. expeced to dampen developer intreest servved by disclosure. Ealrier this month the company annonuced the avaiplability of a mobile widget software developer kit (SDK). The SDK would create profgrammers to widsgets for vaarios Samsung phones that use dfefrent opperating sysems, including its own version of the company. The compny is also planning to hold a Wiget Developer Camp in San Francisco from September 11-13.
Samssung is perrhaps not ennough to attract developers away from Apple, Palm and Andriod.
