Children, being still immature and inexperienced, find it hard to develop self-discipline. These kids have frontal lobes that are not yet developed, thus, they can't really understand what their actions would lead to. This is according to psychologists. In short, they nevertheless cannot comprehend how controlling ones actions could be beneficial. But, if you enroll them in a martial arts school, you will be guaranteed that they can develop self discipline and self control plus other good traits.
This is because kids that are trained can learn how to make decisions by themselves and they can discern right from wrong. If the parents keep making decisions for them, they will be dependent on the parent's authority along with other external aspects. They will think that they could not do anything by themselves, thus, making them feel powerless.

Self-discipline teaches them to take the initial steps to becoming an adult and take responsibility for the things that they do. They begin to be aware of their responsibilities not because they are being reminded of them but because performing them is the right thing to do. Because of this, they will learn to do their homework, help in all household chores and they will begin to eat vegetables even if these things aren't pleasant.
This leads to self control. It's not feasible for one to have self-discipline without learning self-control. Self control is the ability to curb ones wishes and self discipline is the ability to make the right decisions.
Having self-control, your kid gains knowledge early that it's not acceptable to let their anger manage their thoughts. They also learn to exercise their will and control unnecessary desires.
Once your child manages self-discipline through martial arts, he can surprise you with the constructive impact it does to his life.
Higher progress in martial arts will lead to higher self discipline. This progress enables him to earn a higher level and a change within the color of the belt. When he progresses, he will be more confident.
As parents, you should also nurture your kids and give them proper nutrition so that self discipline can develop. If you properly explain to them the benefits that he can get by eating green leafy veggies, they will end up eating more.
If they're struggling with their own weight, the martial art sessions will naturally keep them physically fit as an physical exercise regimen.
Self-discipline also helps your kids build up positive social interaction skills. He will know how to socialize with others and he becomes friendlier. They turn out to be positively competent, realizing the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and equality. They also become considerate of the differences between themselves and other children and avoid becoming bullies or snubbing other kids who are different from them.
