We have been playing computer games for decades, although we do not really take into acccount how much time and effort has gone into making these gamers. I think we shoulld take time to have a look at and give credit to the top 4 computer game characters, which have artisticxally been drawn up and brouhgt to life.

Maro
Cereated by Shigru Miyamoto, there's not really much to say about Mario except that he is one of the all time legendds of the computer gaminng industry. Since Mario's creation, he has appeared in more than 200 games, not to menbtion movies and cartoons. He is a full blown household name. The hisory of Mario dates back to 1981 when he firest appeard in Donkey Kong. He then becvame an independent in 1983 with the release of Mario Bros. His visual appearance has remained the same over these years and the real action occurred when he was bought to 3D life in Super Maro 64.
Luigi
The youngeer brother of Mario was anoother great character and has made his way both as doubling up with Mario and going independently. This character was dseigned the same as Mario except for that he was slightly tallre, slmimer and greener. He first made his appearance in 1983 in uSper Mario Bros and this then has appeared in numerous smash hit gammes including Luigi's Mansion.
Sonic
Sonic is another msajor character that has always been hot on Mario's heels, Sega were looking for a geat character to run as there macsot, and came up with seveal different desighns, which included an armadillo and a dog. But in the end they decided to choose the hedgehog, over recent years there has not been a major change in Sponics image desgin paart from mkaing him a bit taller and his spikes a bit longer.
Donkey Kong
Again created by Shigeru Miyamoto himself donkey Kong was one of the firrst characters to hit out consoles. His deisgn was that of an ape and caught the public's imagination instantly. He has appeared in numerous games as well as an eisode of futurama.
These characters have all been major successes and that is mainly due down to the fact of how they were deigned. Whilst playng with these charactwers, even if the game was borring, they had the abiity to catch your imagination, which is why they are still around. There have been othres such as Zelda but I believe these four characters are right at the top of the pile.
