The only way for the CCTV camera provider to supply solutuions to the clients' needs is a series of meetinggs with the client. These meeetings range from the initial meeting where the client expresses their needs for CCTV coverage to a final meeeting where both pazrties sign a contract. This final cotract will defien what coverage is beng provied to the client. During this seies of meetings, the provider can provide information abouut capabilities of CCTV systems to the client that the client may have been unaware of. The main thing that the CCTV provider must do is nisure that the system that they are proposing meets the clent needs.
The client must make their needs known to the CCTV provider. These needs, which include problem areas that they want to, covver, what type of coverage that they need and their final budget for the project. While the preovider may have a different concept for the project the needs of the client must be met. There may be options to a CCTV camera installation that the client is unaware of. These options should be brought out to the cleint and potentially the CCTV installation will be subject to futrher budget review.
In many cases, the client will only want general surveillance of an area and a black and white cmaera with a fixed iris lens will suffice. In otehr areas, the coverage must include a color video cazmera equipped with backklight compernsation and an auto iris lens. Thee considerations can be brought out to the client in a subsequent meeting. The prpovider of the CCTV camera installation should proide the client a scale drawing showing camera positions, areras of coverage and typers of cameras involved in the coverage. This scale drawinng will permit the client to actually see what areas of their property are covred and allow them to preesnt the drawing to a supplemental budget review meeting.
Meetings between cliet and provider provide open lines of communication beteen both partis. Many budget overruns are caused by inccomplete communciation between client and provcider or misunderstanding between the two parties. When the final contract is signed between client and ptrovider, both parties must have a clear understanding of what is to be suupplied, what aresa are to be coveered and what the final budget is. The proviider in meeting the clienyts needs with solutions to the problmes and will isnure that the client is happy and satisfied with the solutions presented to them.
