When a stage hypnotist does a stage hypnosis show, one of the first things the stage hypnotist will do is ask for volunteers to come up on stage.Now, take a moment to bear in mind that there is nothing powerful or secretive about asking for volunteers. If the stage hypnotist had so many mysterious powers to control people, then why is he asking for volunteers? Authentic covert hypnosis secrets do not require volunteers or the cooperation of other people, so this is the first warning that stage hypnosis is a joke.
The second warning sign of stage hypnosis is that during each and every stage hypnosis show, you will notice the stage hypnotist disqualifying many of the volunteers that came up on stage. The stage hypnotist makes many of the volunteers to go back to their seats, telling them to enjoy the show. The question we must ask ourselves is why does the stage hypnotist do this? For what reason does the stage hypnotist tell his own volunteers to return to the audience?
The reason why the stage hypnotist disqualifies several of the volunteers is because the stage hypnotist is closely monitoring the volunteers to see if they are obeying his instructions. If a volunteer does not do just as the stage hypnotist says, the stage hypnotist disqualifies the volunteer because the volunteer is not obeying the instructions of the stage hypnotist. This proves stage hypnosis is not real, because if stage hypnosis was some dark art with gobs of hypnosis secrets, then how can people oppose what the stage hypnotist says to the point where the stage hypnotist needs to exclude them?

As the show continues, more and more volunteers are disqualified. During the final phases of the show, there will only be a few volunteers left. It is these volunteers whom the stage hypnotist can use to make it look as if that he has some mysterious hypnosis secrets at work to have power over human behavior. But these volunteers are simply volunteering to do precisely as the stage hypnotist says. The stage hypnotist will even go so far as to tell the people that they will not remember anything that they had done on stage, and when the people appear to come out of trance, they do as the stage hypnotist told them and act as though they are not able to remember anything that had taken place.
A person practicing stage hypnosis is not a authentic hypnotist. All he does is assemble a bunch of volunteers who want to be hypnotized and then he weeds out the volunteers who will not voluntarily do everything the stage hypnotist tells them to do. So, people are not really hypnotized during a stage hypnosis show, they are volunteering to act as though that they were hypnotized.
There is little distinction between an actor and a volunteer at a stage hypnosis show. This means stage hypnosis is a kind of amusement and not a form of mind control.
