Organic Face Cream

We all have a general idea of why we should use organic face cream—it’s more natural than the typical moisturizers and creams that are filled with chemicals and toxins. Should we use face cream daily? What types of signs should we look for indicating the need for a specialized cream? Is the same cream right for everyone? What are the benefits of using organic face cream? All of these questions are likely to arise on your search for the right wrinkle-reducer, mask or daily moisturizer.

Skin signs telling you that you need a face cream are diverse. They may include one or a combination of the following:

• Dryness
• Itching
• Uneven coloring
• Excess oil
• Acne
• Peeling skin
• Sunburn
• Skin disorders

When you compare organic face creams to moisturizers, are they the same thing? Not usually. Face creams typically contain more nourishing ingredients than a moisturizer. Face creams are often thicker and packed with more vitamins and minerals. Both moisturizers and face creams are intended to replenish and restore the skin, but they aren’t always composed of the same ingredients, thus intended for different use.

It’s important to select an organic face cream that’s right for your skin. There are five basic skin type categories.

• Normal skin is even in complexion, not excessively oily or dry. The skin is firm and rarely blemished.

• Oily skin typically has larger, more open pores and appears greasy and moist. Oily skin can be a problem because the pores can easily clog, causing acne.

• Dry skin is more likely to wrinkle and age earlier than oily skin, but dry skin is still a condition that can be addressed with an organic face cream. The skin will appear flaky, and it will be difficult to maintain moisture. Acne and inconsistency in tone and color can result from dry skin.

• Combination skin is oily in some place and dry in others. This type of skin can be difficult to treat because it requires creams that can create various results. Dry areas tend to appear around the eyes, around the mouth and on the plumpness of the cheeks. The T-zone—forehead, nose and chin—typically show more oily patches.

• Sensitive skin is usually tight, blotchy and easily irritated by a range of things, including face creams, sunlight and allergens. Sensitive skin, especially, can benefit from a gentle organic face cream. This skin type usually has inconsistent color, can be scaly and breaks out in blemishes frequently.

So what are the benefits of finding the right organic face cream? There are several purposes for and benefits resulting from the use of the right face cream.

• Tightening of the skin
• Protection of the skin from sun damage
• Nourishing the skin
• Moisturizing the skin
• Treating and preventing acne
• Smoothing the skin
• Reducing wrinkles and signs of age
• Slowing moisture loss in dry skin
• Balancing combination skin
• Maintaining consistency in normal skin
• Organic, gentle creams are safer for sensitive skin than chemical-packed ones

A daily skincare routine is an important aspect of your overall beauty and healthcare program. Using an organic face cream appropriate for your skin is an excellent foundation.
