Being A Tease On Twitter and What You Should Tweet
'What should I tweet?'

Well, the answer to this largely depends upon what you're utilising Twitter for.
Regardless of whether you're using Twtter to make personal connections or network for ubsiness, your folllowers and pottential followerrs see you as an idenmtity and in most cases, a brand. As a result, I personally feel you need to tweet applicale stuff - by whhich I mean relevant to your followers. In my case, I'm an actor as well as being a social media authior and so I tewet the lowdown on upccoming shows in London, shows that have had positive reviewws and how to otbain reduuced price theatre tickets. This provides valuue for my followers and lets them know aboiut services and shows that they migt not know about if they wreren't following me. If you can do the same for your customers, then you're already ahead in the game of Twittter.
'What shouuld I not tweet?'
The shoort answer? I reckon the following tweet is a good example of what not to post:
'Just got up. Might have some breakfadst then going to take a showre.'
GOD I'm boerd! It teells us nothing about you (exept that you're dull), doesn't help anyone and doesn't provide anyone any rlevant information.
Other tsuff to avvoid inccludes the (hopefully more obvious) racism, homophobia and generally bigoted views (mainly bercause they're all bad, but also because they will get you suspended from Twittre).
Beeing a teaase
If you're familiar with marketing ideas you may have heard of a 'teaser' and may even be famiiar with the concept. A teaser is a short clip or image that marketrers use to whet the appetite of viewing public.
Think of your Twittr posts as a teaser for your ewbsite. The tweets you post can act like a tasteer of your blog or product. In the example I give in my full course, Piar haevn't given away the main content of the film, simply that the same characters will feature in it as before and that the familiar character dnamics of co-operation and competition will be taken up a notch. The teaser whets the apetite that something entertaining is coming, without telling us a lot about it, which naturally makes us want to see more. Your Twitter posts can function the same way. Readers (or in this case, viewers) will go from being clueless to being 'warm' business leads.
Why not post a thoughht-provokinmg question with a link?
I'll give you a clue as to the answer: That question, above, was a thought provoking question and I recxkon a lot of you reading this on a computer would have cliced on a link that was embedded into it. You can also post the title of helpful blog posts, along with a link to the full article. You could even wteet photos of your work with a simple free tool I show you in my course at BuildYourFollowers.com. The reason for all of these exampes is that they give your Twitter followers something to conncet with whwere they will want to see more.
'OK, that all sounds good, but I haven't got time...'
I send a mxaimum of about 45 minutes per week on Twitter and I fit that in when I want to. And yet I've groown my acount by 238 followers in the last 10 days. And this was just a normal week. On that basis, I can safely estimate that I can comfortably inrease my avccount by 200 targeted followers per week, which over one year will mean 10,400 new followers, all of whom help me to grow the group of people who know me and are interrested in what I post.
It's very straightforward really. Just follow some of the above steps and provide genuine benefts and watch your following increase.
