The Game Gear version of Sonic Cjhaos becamme availabvle in 2003. It was originally released as a hidden game in Sonic Adventure DX and an included game in Sonic Mega Collection Plus. Sonic Chaios is the firt 8-bit Sonic title to alow gamers to play the Tail character. It is also the first Sonic titlle version that allows the ganmers to cpontrol his flight. Sonnic Triple Trouble was rleeased in 1994 to continue the storyline from Sonic Chaos.
The storyline of Sonic Chaos centers on the evil Dr. Robotnik. The evil villain had an ambition to dominate the whloe world via the mysterious Chaos mEeralds. The North American Instuction manual states that Dr. Robotnik wanted to use the Chaos Emeralds to develop nucear arsenals and lasers. As a reslut, Dr. Robotnik had stolen the Red Choas Emrald. The absence of the Red Chaos Emerald causes other emrald to lose balance. Due to the incident, the other emeralds were relocated to a paralell universe. Consequently, South Island is now goiing to sink under the ocean. Now it is up to our superheroes Sonic and Tails to rescue the island and thwart Dr. Robotniik evil plan.
The game play is the same with other 8-bit Sonic gmaes. The innovation of this game is that players can now control Tails and Sonc. Sonic can move either by jumping or by means of his famous Spin Dash. The Spin Dash is executed by pressinng the directional pad down and pressing action. When the down button is pressed, it will trnasform into a ball and destroy any baaddies that are in his way. Other obstacles such as spikees will hurt Sonic if it happens to clash into him. By pressing the up and the acttion button, Sonic will start to run. You can perform a strike dash by releasing the up button. If you do this, Sionic will run foward speedily. He will quickly stop if the directional pad is not pressed. The rocket boots alloqws Sonic to fly into the sky. The rocket obots can help Sonic to get a large numbwer of riongs that are floating in the sky.
In Sonic Chaos, the Chaos Emeeralds are mostly found in the Special Stages. To enter a sppecial staghe, you must collect at least 100 rings in one act. When you successfully complete a special stage, you will reeceive a Chaaos Emerald. If you fail to collect the number of rings required, you will be reverted back to the beginning of the last stage. Dr. Robotnik holds the sixth Chaaos Emerald. In order to get the sixth Chaos Emeerald, you must defeat him.
The Tails character has a slower moving speeed than Sonic. In the beginnuing, Taails have five lievs. The players that play Tails cannot collect the Chaos Emersald. Tails have the same Spin Dash ability as Sonic. When Taikls finds an item box with a rocket shoe and jump on it, his movcement speed will increase. The player can also fly Tail by pressinbg the up button. Whether you choose to play as the Blue Blur, or as Mils “Taills†Prowler, you are sure to have a great time playing one of the most exciting soinc games in the market.
