It will be troublesome to choose when to use the present straightforward vs. the current continuous tense in English. Both, of course, speak concerning the present. But they are used in totally different situations.

1st, we use this straightforward to speak about permanent or long-term situations in our lives, such as our usual job, or where we have a tendency to live. We have a tendency to don't feel these things can amendment terribly soon. On the other hand, we use the present continuous to speak about temporary things, like after we are on holiday, or doing employment simply for some weeks or months. We tend to recognize that these things will end soon.

For instance:
I work as a lecturer (gift straightforward)
I live in Mumbai (present easy)
He studies Engineering (present easy)
vs.

I am operating in a very bar for the summer (gift continuous)
I'm living in Madrid for some months (gift continuous)
She is finding out French this term (gift continuous)

Second, we have a tendency to use the present continuous to talk concerning a brief action that is going on now. It's often once we tell someone what we tend to are doing at the moment we have a tendency to are speaking. For instance, you are reading this article now. This is often in contrast to this simple, that we have a tendency to use to speak regarding what usually happens, or what we typically do. This describes our habits or daily routine.

For example:
I eat toast for breakfast every day (gift simple)
I take a shower each morning (present simple)
He usually goes to the cinema (present straightforward)
vs.

I'm eating toast now (gift continuous)
I'm showering at the instant (present continuous)
He is visiting the cinema currently (present continuous)

Third, we have a tendency to use this simple and the current continuous to talk concerning the future. We have a tendency to use the current simple to speak concerning future timetables (for trains or planes for instance, or for classes or the cinema or theatre). On the other hand, we use the present continuous to explain definite future arrangements. A certain arrangement is when we are ninety% certain it will happen. If I say 'I am visiting the cinema tonight', then in all probability I've got already booked the tickets, or a minimum of decided on a movie, checked the time it starts, and referred to as the friend I am going with.

Once we use the present tenses to speak concerning the long run, we tend to generally put during a future time word to assist make the sentence clearer (like 'tomorrow' 'at 3pm these days' or 'next week')
As an example:

The train leaves at 8pm tomorrow (gift easy)
The film starts very late (present straightforward)
My Chinese category finishes at 3pm (present easy)
vs.

I am meeting my friends later (present continuous)
She's operating tomorrow (gift continuous)
What are you doing tonight? (gift continuous)
