With the introduction of distance learning in India, several individuals are able to continue their education despite financial difficulties and other problems. Before, despite the efforts put in to develop the educational system, only a third fraction of the Indian population was able to get educated. These individuals were mostly from urban areas. This had resulted in a huge educational gap between the individuals of rural and urban areas. But with the induction of distance education, this gap is gradually decreasing.

The mode of distance learning in India has changed the whole foundation of the education system. In this mode of education, students are not required to attend their classes in a four walled confined room. This has helped many under privileged candidates who live in remote areas to continue their education with utmost efficiency. The program of distance learning in India has also helped many working professionals to continue their education. Since this mode of education does not require individuals to attend regular classes, they can study in their own pace and time.

This has helped several students to get answers of their queries instantly. This is one of the main benefits of online degree in India as distance education does not offer this facility to its students. The study materials in this mode of education are provided to the students in the form of e-books. Many people have the misconception that the credentials earned by distance education or program of online degree in India is not equivalent to a degree obtained by attending a regular full time college or university. This is all a myth. In fact, if you sit for an interview, the interviewer will not bother whether you have attended a regular or course of online degree in India to earn your qualification.
