Choosing a Carpet - And Taking Care of it

Obviously, it’s not easy: the enormous variety offered often gets even tastes confounded, so that sometimes you get unsatisfied of what you just bought. There are various theories: some say that classic is always good, others sustain minimalism, and others design, while some are in favour of fashion: glamorous clothes, fashionable house.
The end of the month’s bills, though, impose some realism: changing the fittings of a home is not like buying a pair of new shoes. So, if it’s not possible to change the whole fittings – that, after all, is comprehensible – then you can give it something to embellish it: carpets, in this case, are perfect.
Some people consider them as a necessity, others as a vanity, but carpets anyway do their work: they discreetly fill the room and warm it, giving both a physical and psychological sensation of warmth. The choice of carpets is very wide: design, cow and any kinds of carpets, the possibilities are almost infinite, to give every home the right touch.
The choice of the colour is to be matched with the colours of the walls and of the floor, other than the furniture, paying attention not to make the ambient heavy: carpets, furniture and colours must be in harmony, and if you agree with the fact that true elegance should not be noticeable, then the carpet will have to get mingled with the ambient, becoming invisible, though absolutely indispensable: taking it away would take away a piece of the room.

Materials as well depend on the kind of furniture of the house: leather or textiles carpets? Silk or pony skin carpets? The living room carpets have different styles, shapes, sizes and materials, and the variety is thought for every carpet to be perfectly part of a particular room.
Once it entered “its” room, the carpet won’t get out any more: take it away would mean to denude the ambient of a fundamental element. But pay attention: to make the carpet stay in its place, you must take care of it; it’s better to take it to a specialized shop to wash it, paying attention to take care of it at home as well. It’s good to remind that too many weights upon it, apart from covering it, can damage the fleece, in the case of knotted carpets, but also for the leather carpets, that have the same need for breathing. Moreover, even though the name would suggest the opposite, it is not prudent to use a carpet sweeper: carpets must be treated with care, and the carpet sweeper is too rough for them.
Finally, the temperature: too high temperatures may dry them, making them more fragile and their colours dull; the direct sunshine as well won’t be good for carpets, because it discolours them: when buying a carpet, after having found the one that lacked in your room, get informed at the same shop where you bought it for its maintenance and cleaning, to be sure to take care of it in the right way.
