Sydney is the largest city in Australia and is also the state capital of New South Wales as well as being the most populated one as well. The population is roughly 4.5 million people. It is a city that is rich in culture, fashion, music, education and plenty of other opportunities. The 2000 Summer Olympics were also held here and you will also find the Sydney Airport located here as well. One major thing that you will want to do when visiting is take photos because they will last a lifetime and allow you to recall memories of your trip and the majestic feel surrounding the city.

One such location is the Sydney Opera House. It is a relatively new structure and did not get built until 2003 by Jorn Utzon who received the Pritzker Prize which is the best and most honored award in all of architecture. It has become one of the most well known and featured performing arts center in the entire world. It is located in the Sydney Harbour and this allows for fabulous pictures with the water also being a large part in the majesty of the attraction. Each year about 1,500 performances occur here. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is an arched bridge that allows not only motor vehicles but also bicycles, trains, and pedestrians as well. It is a link between the North Shore and the center business district of Sydney. Since it looks like a coat hanger from afar that has become its nickname. It was opened in 1932 after being designed and it is not only the tallest arched steel bridge but also the longest long-span bridge in the world as well. It is a total of 440 feet from the water to the top of the bridge itself.

Hyde Park is located to the east of business district in Sydney and is split in half by Park Street which runs in the direction of east to west. It has a rich history and has been established as a park for 200 years now since it was officially named as such in 1810. The main attraction in the park itself is the Archibald Fountain which was gifted because of the assistance of Australia during WWI to France. It is commonly visited and photographed each and every year.

Of the three botanical gardens which can be found in Sydney the largest and most well known are the Royal Botanical Gardens. It is open every single day of the year and provides free access to visitors. The first botanist that was appointed to it was Charles Fraser who was appointed in 1817. It is one of the oldest locations where exotic plants have been showcased. Also at the botanical gardens you will find the pond to accent the overall appeal and the glasshouse which is built in the shape of a pyramid to add to the quality and unique appeal of the gardens.
