LCD Installation

Before, when having home entertainment system is strictly for the rich and the famous, people rely on big television units to best display the movies, shows and sport matches they would love to see. However, thanks to the ever evolving technology, people have now come up with cheaper means of optimizing film viewing experience at home. Regardless of the size of the room, science has now found a way to display good pictures on the TV screen, minus the space tubes and large systems TV used to be built with. This invention came in the form of LCD TV.

Prior mounting an LCD, there are three basic things one must first consider. First is to identify the spot to where the TV can be appropriately mounted. Depending on your viewing preference, you can mount your LCD TV the usual way, in your living room in front of the seats, or in the bedroom, in front of the bed. Some people even mounted theirs on the ceiling of their bed room! Since there is no general measure or way of mounting TVs, the most important is to get it a spot proximate to the seats, at the same time, near to the outlets too, which is the second factor to be considered.

Mounting location of the TV should not be too distant from the power sources. If the preferred area of mounting is quite far from the outlets, make a thorough plan on how to organize all the necessary cabling. This does not include the TVs power outlet alone, but also other related device's power outlets as well, such as DVD players, speakers and Cable or Satellite TV power cords.

Lastly, decide the most appropriate kind of LCD mounting. You may use floor stands, which you may separately purchase or may come with the purchase of a home entertainment system. The floor stand mounting is known to be less hazardous in terms of wire management, since floor stands are specially designed to have slots and spaces to which cables should be fitted to be hidden. However, wall mounting is a more popular way of installing LCD TVs since this form of installation requires the least amount of space an LCD TV set can consume. Camouflaged as one of wall decorations, wall mounting is also comfortable to various possible types of viewing positions, may the viewer be sitting, standing or just happened to pass by the area. However, degree of mounting should also be properly thought of. If the level of mounting is way higher than the seats, LCD TV should be mounted tilted down in order to better display to the seated viewer the image.
