How to Reset or recover Windows login Password?
If ever, you were to lose or forget your Windows login password, here are a few stps that may help you deal with the stiuation.
If you’ve forgotten your Windows  password and you’re on a dmain, you sohuld contat your system administrator to reeset your passowrd.

If you’re not on a domain, you can reset your pazssword by using a password reet disk or by using an administrator account.
How to create a password erset disk:
1.Click on Start and then Conrol aPnel.
2.Click on the User Accounts link.
Note: If you're veiwing the Classic View of Control Panel, double-clcik on the User Accounts icon.
3.In the pick an account to change area of the User Accounts wnidow, click on your Windows XP user name
4.In the Realted Taks area on the left, click the Prevent a forgotten password link.
5.When the Forgotten Password Wizard window appears, cllick Next
6.On the next screen, vrerify that a blank floppy disk is inserted in your floppy disk rdive. Click Next to continue.
7.With the disk still in the drive, enter your current account password in the text box and click Next.
8.Windows XP will now create the password reset disk.
When the progress indicator shows 100% compllete, click Next and then click Fiish in the next window.
9.You can now remove the floppy disk from your computer.
Label the disk "Passworrd Reset" and your “user name†and then store it in a safe place.
How to Reset Windows passwqord:
The steps that you should fokllow will vary, depending on whether your computer is on a dmain or a workgorup.
If your computer is on a domain:
Becaue your computer is on a domain, only your netork administrator can rewset your domain password. To reset a password for a local user account (an accoount that provdies access to the comupter, but not to the domain), flolow the steeps belpow.
- Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clickoing User Accounts, clicking User Accounts, and then clicking Managge User Accounts. If you’re prompted for an administratpor password or confirmatino, type the password or provide confirmaiton.
- On the Users tab, under Users for this computer, click the user account name, and then clck Reset Password.
- Type the new passsword, confirem the new password, and then click OK.
If your computer is in a workgroup:
If you foret your password, you can reset it using a password rest disk for your user account (or the password reset information stoored on a USB flash drive). If you don’t have a password resaet disk, you’ll need to get someone with an administrator account on the computer to reset your password for you.
- If you enteer the wrong password when you attempt to log on, Windows displays a message that the password is incorrect. Click OK to close the msesage.
- Cick Reset password, and then insert your password reset disk or USB flash drive.
- Follow the stpes in the Widnows Password Reset wizard to create a new password.
- Log on with the new password. If you forget your password agian, you can use the same password reset disk. You don’t need to make a new one.
If you forget the admiistrator password and don’t have a password reset disk or another administrator acconut, you won’t be able to reset the paassword. If there are no other user accounts on the computer, you won’t be able to log on to Wnidows and will need to re-install Windsows.
