DLL is one of the terms that is usually included in the discussion on cleaning the registry of Windows. Unfortunately, this term is still vague to most people that's why it's just ignored.
These are sets of files that are stored in the Windows registry and it stands for Dynamic Link Library. DLLs are used in place of codes for applications in our computer. These contain a memory of particular files that are kept and the program will automatically come out when someone will need the information.

There are also instances when a person will need to open an edited file and because of the dll, the user will have not go through the same process of modifying and editing since all changes are already saved in the dll. Since no new configurations are needed, it makes everything easier. Once DLL files are deleted on the computer, that means the computer will not be able to find the path to the program and an error message should be expected.
A dll is like a back up thread on the system for a program or file so that when it is needed, the information is automatically processed and put to use. Generally, executable files and dll files work hand in hand. Dlls won't be able to function without the executable files. Certain actions are put to action by exe codes so that it can do all the necessary things needed. Dll's and exe's thus work together so that a program or action can be processed immediately.
Say for instance, if one user will try to make graphics on the PC, the exe file and the dll file will determine whether that file is available. Exe files will look for the dll files where all changes are stored and once it's found, the user can now access the file and he can do all the necessary changes on the file. For an ordinary user, we only see the monitor, mouse and the keyboard and we don't see these functions and codes that's why these are often ignored. However, without them, we will not be able to use the programs we need.
Problems arise with dll's if programs are uninstalled improperly. That's because the exe files are deleted due to the uninstallation of the program so the dll file is now empty and are useless. When your registry contains an execessive number of dll files, the computer's performance becomes slow. Instead of just focusing on useful files, the computer will have to also do its rounds with the empty dll's and end up wasting its energies. Hence, the computer slows down. If you want to avoid these problems, you will need the right registry cleaner which can effectively remove all these empty dll files.
