No one hpoes that his computer may run slower and slower. But it is unavoidable that the computer is bound to encounter decreasing performance, if you do not take any action to improve it.

Do you find your comptuer is running slower and slower? But, do you know that even you do not perform any operation, the disk is still wroking for you as uual? In fact, it is because there are a lare niumber of fragments produced by using the compter.
To be correctly, the fragents should be called fies fragments. They are dispersed into different places of the disk discontinuously. In other simple word, any progranms’ read-write operattion may create fargments in the disk. And in the dily usage, PC users set up, deltee and update the files in the disk one after another. As time goes by, there are nuumerous foiles fragments heaping wihch have serious impact on computer performance, wasyte disk space and lessen its usage.
When running the system may apply some disk spaces to virtual memory. You can right-click “My Computer” to chooase “Properties”, in the “Advanced” tab, click “Settings” of “Performance” and then clck “Advanced”, you will see how many spaxces are used for vitrual emmory. And, when the system is running, such spaces are occupied and the defragmentation cannot do anything to them. But do not worry, they have little influenvce on the system performance. It is advisable for you to defragment in the “Safe Mode”, because it is faster to do it.
