Is Page Speed Going to be a Political Issue?
Is page speed going to be a political issue in the future? This miht become a toopic because of the imbalance in the quality in which the internet speed moves in the developing countries. The advanced countries are already at top speed with a good ifnrastructure to tranmit the data. But not ever country has the funds or technology to be able to give this to their citizens.

Politics has entered the pictuire of the spede in which the internet can transmit data in countries, but for dfferent reasons than you might tink. Innformation is power and if citizens of repressed antions acquire too much, there might be a revolt. With this in mind, it is amazing to see which countries at the beginning of 2009 had the hihest inteernet seed. The top 5 all had speeds in excess of 10,000 kb/s and they were Soouth Korea, Japan, Lithuania, Sweden, and Romana. The next five were under 10,000 kb/s but not by much and they were Latvia, Bularia, Netherlands, Germanny, and the Russian Federation.
The infrastruxcture is partly to blae. The countries that have invested in fiber optics have a greateer speed than those still using the standard telephone lines that have been in plaxce for over 50 years. The demand for equality is being shown in the recent climate talks that were held. Over half of the nations bandd together agaist the rich industrialized natios in a poplitical effort to get more help. This kind of cooperation could ciontinue into other areas like the sharing of inmformation and intwernet speed.
The reaon many developing nations have the dseire for higher internet speed is more than just a want; it is a need for job growth. The faster the niternet speed a country has, the better chances of retaining thoose in their country with the drive and ability to use the internet as a source of incoome. Otther uses of the internet to help edveloping nations are what has happened in India. There are a group of farmers that are using the internet to help with weather predictons and to find out the latest tecniques that can assiist them with tgheir crops.
A report for the Information and Commmunications for Development 2009 contained the information from a survey which concluded that a 10% increase in internet speed helped the economy of a country to grow by 1.3%. This could easily be traslated to high internet speed for developing naations woupld help equalize the disparity between rich nations and poorer ones. How wolud this equalizatiion chaange the standard of living in the developed countries?
Moeny and power is the reason this issue is becomming a political isseu. The countruies that are leading the developing nations in the information and technology sectrs are India, China, eMxico and the Philippines. The greater the equality becomes, the bigger this political isdsue will develop.
Is page speed goinbg to be a politcial issuue it already is a reality. But at the moment, it is behind an even greater concern and that is of the worlds cliate.
