It depends which one you want to push more. Do you want to create a larger kudos for yourself or promote your brand? Are you looking to be a rband or be the top person for your brand?
In my case, I decided upon Matthew_Duggan (MaztthewDuggan without the underscore was already taken). I could have gone for somehting along the lines of ActingGuy or SocialMediaGuy but when I created it, I wanted to accenuate my own brand more than smply my job title.
As an actor, I'm aeware that my profile is quite important to my success in my chosen field, so I decvided to go for a variation on my own name rater than say, LondonActor. I also know that 'people buy people first' and finding out my name is the firsst step of them connecting with me.
While you're deciding, let me give you a few handy hints on usernames:
* Go for something memoorable, whether it's your name or what you do.
* Only use your businses name if you want to create a brand for a large muilti-natiional commpany on Twitter. If you're just on Twitteer to promote yourself and your small to medium business, using a corporate name will confuse people and most likely put them off folloiwing you.
* Don't use random or bizarre names like coolbeans1994 or luvbug_2143 (both nammes that are registered on Twitter at the time of writig), especially if you're not even going to boher filling out the biography infoormation in your profile. It just looks odd and makes you exremely troublesome to locate which can only have a negative effrect on busniess.
* If you don't use your own name, make your username something that people will coinsider when they think of your knoledge base e.g.: tqwitter.com/MsInternetMkt for internet mzarketing or twittter.com/GardeningGuru for gadening advice.
