You may probably want to get that celebrity tan on your skin. You can actually get this easily regardless of the season. The good news is, you can do this without spending hours under the sun which we all know is very dangerous. Today, there are many tanning services that are available just like airbrush tanning. You can take advantage of this in salons or from dermatologists.

If you decide on going through with the process, here are a few points that you must remember:

1. Remember to exfoliate a day before your scheduled airbrush tanning. This can be done at home or you can use those exfoliating soaps. One more method to exfoliate is by using loofah to scrub your body. This can peel off the dead skin. Make sure that you use moisturize after to prevent rashes, irritation or dryness of the skin.

2. On the day of getting that airbrush tan, skip your usual skin care regimen. This means that you should not use any products on your skin because this may affect the results of the tanning products.

3. Keep Dry - When you just had your airbrushed tan, avoid going to the beach or pool or taking a long shower at least until after 24 hours. However, if you have to go swimming, apply a generous amount of body lotion or body oil to help protect the color from the chlorinated water.

When you opt for this type of tanning instead of spending hours under the sun, you don't put your health in danger or your skin in danger because you don't expose yourself directly under the sun. You can get that golden glow on your skin without the health hazards. But make sure that the process is done properly which means that precautions should be taken before and after the procedure so that you can get the best results.

Also, remember that having a sunless tan does not necessarily protect you from the harmful UV rays of the sun so be sure to take along with you a bottle of sun block when you go out each day and to re-apply whenever possible.

Applying a generous amount of lotion, aside from the sun block, is also ideal so that you can have that tan longer. Don't use alcohol or make up remover or any exfoliants on your skin because these can dissolve the tanning solution right away.
