There are lots of things to consider, but at the heart of these must be what you actually think about the products and or services on offer by the MLM Company. This is so much more important than how well they pay or how comprehensive their research and development may be.
OK I hear you say, but I am not just selling the products and services, the money is in selling the "Business Opportunity".

Sorry but this is not the way to build your business! This is time to sit back and take a deep breath and think with a clear mind for a moment. Do the biggest and longest standing MLM Companies make money from the Business Plan, or rather than from what might be considered to be the more traditional way of selling goods and services? In case you had not noticed, as you pay your joining fees, what do you get, a whole stack of discounted goods and or services that they have to offer. You see if it did not include products or services, then it would simply be a Pyramid scheme, and of course we all know that this activity is illegal.
Now it is critical to understand that there are some MLM programs out there that are not exactly ethical in the way they conduct their business. But that is the same in all walks of life. However the central aspect to all successful MLM companies is that the network that is established is consistently selling lots of goods and or services. In any case If they do not then they will not last as there can be no doubt that the only thing left is what we know as a pyramid sales scam.
Now if we take an objective view of the process of the sell process of the "Plan or Opportunity" So it is clear for sure that the real money in building an MLM company is in establishing a strong network, and also that the network is collectively moving lots of stuff! I absolutely agree with this.
On the other, if the goods and or services that you are representing are really something you are passionate about, then how do you expect to not only sell them but more importantly the Business?
Regardless of the fact that almost all network marketers have a huge focus on selling the business plan, without a good balance of selling both the product as well as the business, it will be tough to succeed.
Let me give you an example. Mary Kay is in most experts eyes including mine, one of the best MLM Company out there. Under no circumstance will you ever see me involved with this program.
That might seem like a pretty big statement, but.
Let me give you a little background about myself. I have spent some 21 years owning and operating retail furniture and printer consumable businesses, so I have extensive experience in selling a wide variety of products under many different circumstances.
While I have a proven track record in sales I am also a 40 something year old guy from downunder.I love lots of things in life but one of them is definitely not cosmetics.
Here are some good reasons why Mary might not me to get involved anyway-
-There is just no synergy between me and the wonderful goods available
-My ability to develop any trust or confidence in my propective clients would be severly hampered
I know this might seem like an exagerated case, but my point is that regardless of your enthusiasm for the business plan, you must have a strong belief or bond with the products themselves.
To view this from a slightly different perspective, just look at anyone that you know who has made a success in their career or business. The underlying factor in all will be that they love doing what they do. Financial rewards will be secondary.
Asking yourself the very simple question "which is going to be the best MLM company for me?" is a much more important question of what other people think is the best.
