With expensive cars, the last thing you want to do is drive the thing across country. Say you have yourself the new 2010 Lamborghini, and you find yourself in need of moving or relocating over a long distance. Would you drive the car all that way? Pay a friend to drive it for you? Would you really want to put that many miles on such a nice car? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you’re probably rich enough to not care about putting that many miles on your car. That or you just don’t care about your car. This is just one of the perfect situations where car shipping comes in handy.
Finding a company to transport your car across country can be a bit difficult. After all, it’s not like you see billboards for this sort of thing off the 91 freeway or hear ads for it on the radio. Despite you not necessarily seeing or hearing advertisements for them, there are a pretty decent amount of auto shipping brokers out there who will transport your vehicle for you, without physically driving it.

Anyone who’s spent more than five hours on the freeway in their lifetime has seen them; the giant semi trucks with two layers of cars and trucks on them, all neatly lined up and being hauled to god-knows-where. The first thing that went through my head when I saw them was that they were being delivered to a car dealership. That was probably the case, as that is one way that car dealerships get their products delivered (another way is by train). Car dealerships aren’t the only ones to take advantage of this service, though. Companies with fleets of vehicles, government and state vehicles, and even individuals have their cars and trucks hauled this way.
There are a few things you should look for when choosing an auto transport broker. The first being whether or not they service your area. Often times the auto transport companies will provide services nationwide, so chances are they’ll be able to help you out. But, there are others out there who only service specific regions, so make sure you know for sure whether or not they’ll be able to help you. The second is what kind of reputation they have. Do a little research before picking a company. After all, you wouldn’t just let any company who says they’re good transport your ridiculously expensive car, would you?
