• New SmartArt templates
• Screen Capturing and Clipping tools
• New text and image editing effects
• Letter Styling
• Live collaboration functions
• New animations in Powerpoint 2010
• Ribbon interface and Backstage View
• Background Removal Tool
• Jumplists in Windows 7
But even after featuring all these exciting features, Microsoft office 2010 seems to have not picked up many sales compared to its predecessor office 2007 which is completely unexpected.
This could be a possibility that since this has been recently launched it hasn’t gained much popularity but market experts are of the opinion that office 2007 didn’t take so much time to be a hit.
Many are saying that office 2010 has fewer buyers, might be corporates are not yet ready to go for an upgrade now. Moreover we are just past the famous recession time.
An analyst firm is of the opinion that sales of office 2010 are going roughly in line with the sales of office 2007 but still they agree after the launch sales of office 2010 is slower.
Why is this so? Many experts are of the opinion that corporates who needed office already has it which ever version it might be and the rest don’t want to upgrade now. It seems that the productivity software market is down and saturated now. Moreover to many, office 2010 isn’t offering enough to go for an upgrade; on the other hand it is more costly.
Experts are also saying that in the present market many are running for the free productivity suites offered by companies like Google- Google Docs being the most favorite.
