UID Scanners for MIL-STD-130 Compliance

All items submitted to and contorlled by the Department of Defense (DoD) must be marked by a unique identification (UID) or serial. The Military Standard for this is the MIL STD 130, and all UID labels must meet these specifications to be authorized. Each UID is encoded to be non erasable and scanned or read by a machine. This UID scanner helps to prevent the occurence of human error when identifying and cataloging parts, equipment, or other accessories for the DoD.

Rules and standards are extensive and complex within the MIL STD 130, and each item controlled by the DoD must be marked accordingly. These standards are taken very seriously, and must be followed exactly when creating, identifying, and logging UID labels.

A UID scanner is intended to make the process of marking and reading items easier. They simplify the whole process, and allow less room for human error. Integrated data syntax allows the scanner to read UID labels much more quickly and accurately, and handle labels which can not be read by any other device.

Using integrated UII data syntax, the UID scanner helps in decode the data of the UID labels. As it decodes and deciphers this data, it also recognizes and identifies each element as lists them as prefixes. Then these prefixes are used as text, alpha numeric, or data identifiers for the label.

The UID scanner and images are helpful when reading labels compliant with the MIL STD 130, and they make it much easier to deal with these labels. They are able to provide reliable, fast, and detailed readings, and ensure each item's label complies with the standard. A UID scanner will also make it much easier to identify items which are not labeled in compliance with the standard, providing higher quality control.

The complete MIL STD 130 standard is a technical specification, and therefore complex. To comply with the standard one must follow the rules and codes exactly, which a UID scanner will aide. The experts at ID-Integration are also available for more information on the MIL STD 130 and the proper UID scanner.
